What goes into a casino file

Every casino we list has a file in our database. It records the operating company and licence named by the casino, the welcome package offered to Canadian players, the wagering requirement and minimum deposit, the payment methods available from Canada and the game studios in the lobby. When two sources disagree, the file keeps both figures and the lower-confidence number is not used on the site.

Where the numbers come from

Casino websites show different offers depending on where the visitor connects from, so welcome packages are checked on independent Canadian review portals that publish offers in Canadian dollars. Licence details come from the casino’s own footer and the public registries of regulators such as iGaming Ontario and the Kahnawake Gaming Commission.

How the order of a list is set

Each list starts from the casinos that match the topic of the page: a payment method, a game, a studio or a province. The order then weighs the size of the welcome package, how long the brand has been on the market, licensing and how often independent Canadian portals list the brand. Lists differ from page to page because the matching casinos differ.

Advertising disclosure

Gamble Investigations is free to read. We may earn a commission when you open an account through links marked “Visit site”. Commercial agreements influence which casinos can appear in our lists, but they never change the terms shown for an offer, and we do not publish casinos without a confirmed welcome package figure.

Corrections

Offers change often. If you find a figure that no longer matches the casino’s terms, write to us through the contact page and we will re-check the file.
